MANGROVE AFTERDARK & FIREFLY CRUISE
Starting from Desaru Coast, we embark on a scenic drive to the Sungai Lebam River. The journey winds through lush secondary forests and stretches of land cultivated for agriculture and palm oil. Upon reaching the river, we board the explorer boat, ready to delve into the heart of the mangroves.
The wide river is flanked by rich, verdant mangrove forests, teeming with wildlife. As we arrive at the jetty, a quaint fishing village and a floating restaurant come into view, offering a glimpse of local life. The boat gently glides along the river, our guide will unveil the fascinating secrets of this unique ecosystem.
The mangrove trees, with their strange and wonderful forms, thrive in an environment shaped by the constant ebb and flow of the ocean tides.
As night descends upon the Sungai Lebam mangrove forest, a captivating sight unfolds: the mesmerizing dance of fireflies. These magical insects emit radiant hues of yellow, green, and pale red, gathering around the Berembang trees in this expansive mangrove swamp. Hundreds of fireflies flickering together create an unforgettable natural light show.
Afterward, we begin the return journey to the jetty, followed by a transfer back to your hotel.
